Mystery 'gnome' on Mt. St. Helens web cam...
The web camera at Mt. St. Helens has provided visitors with some amazing views of the mountain over the years.
On Tuesday, the web camera displayed an altogether new kind of activity: A mysterious gnome, with a sign that appeared to read "I will get the snow."

The camera, operated by the U.S. Forest Service, provides still images of the view from Johnson Ridge Observatory at Mt. St. Helens.
The observatory and the web camera are located about five miles away from the volcano at an elevation of about 4,500 feet, looking across the North Fork Toutle River Valley. The webcam image updates about every five minutes.
