My cat ran up a $300 water bill - WTF?!

“Jennifer and Jim kept getting huge water bills, over $300 dollars. They knew beyond a doubt that the bills weren’t representative of actual usage, and no matter how they tried to conserve, the high bills continued.

Although they could see nothing wrong, they had everything checked for leaks or problems: first the water meter, then outdoor pipes, indoor pipes, underground pipes, faucets, toilets, washer, ice maker machine, etc.

One day Jim was sick and stayed home in bed, but kept hearing water running downstairs. He finally tore himself from his sick bed to investigate, and stumbled onto the cause of such high water bills. Apparently this had been happening all day long when they were not at home. Knowing that few would believe him, he taped a segment of the ‘problem’ for posterity…”

8. One of my families younger cats used to be fasinated by the toilet as well. Anytime one of us would go to the restroom, hw would rush in once her heard the flush so that he could watch the water swirl.

10. Heh. I once got a bit lazy with cleaning the catbox and walked in on my cat using the toilet. WTF? I didn’t teach her that. She just got fed up with the stinky catbox and resorted to using the toilet.

    I had heard that cats you can teach to use the toilet can get addicted to the flushing and this video is proof. Cats are wonderfully strange.

12. AWESOME! I forgot to clean litterbox for a week or so and my cat peed in sink. It took about 2 days to find where the cat urine smell was coming from even after I cleaned the litterbox.

18. Hi, My cat loves the water also. He runs to the bathroom anytime someone goes in and especially if he hears water running. He loves to watch the water go down the toilet. But I hold him so he cannot play in the water. He likes to drink water out of the sink. Your cat is adorable. Cats are so funny.

21. I am surprised the cat knows to wait for the bowl to fill back up! If you listen carefully you’ll hear the toilet running and the cat WAITS everytime for the running to stop before flushing again. This feline has been practing.
