Pigs Might Not Be Able To Fly, But They Sure Can Dive...

Move over Pig In Boots, because there’s an entirely new adorable pig situation that once again reminds why I hate to love bacon so damn much: Pig Diving. Pigs. Who Dive. My research indicates this amazingly inspiring (almost fetish-like) sport exists only in Australia, as the following photos were captured during the Pig Racing and Diving Event at the 2008 Royal Melbourne Show. Better yet, they’ve been throwing pigs into pools since 1848!

A Google Search seeking the “History of Pig Diving” produces a depressing zero results. Though, there is some good news: An event back in 1983 which planned on throwing pigs out of moving airplanes was canceled after the Humane Society had a collective heart explosion.

But enough with all this mindless chatter! Forget all this “possible pig torture” stuff and instead focus on how GOSH DANG adorable they are jumping into a tiny pool!!
