Enjoy your first amendment area… But I thought the First Amendment was everywhere???

1. So what exactly does this have to do with Pot? Given the First Amendment doesn’t deal with drugs and none of the leaves in the photo are pot, I fail to see the relation.

2. Because of the right to practice religion.. and some pot smoking is religious..

   In a 1979 case, the Florida Supreme Court wrote, “( 1 ) the Ethiopian Zion Coptic Church represents a religion within the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States; ( 2 ) the ‘use of cannabis is an essential portion of the religious practice.’” Nevertheless, the U.S. Court of Appeals upheld a ruling in 1990 denying Olsen a religious exemption to smoke marijuana. That ruling meant that he could no longer be a practicing member of the EZCC.

3. The National Park Service would be obligated to uphold national laws I would imagine, regardless of California’s marijauna policy (thats where this pic is from: Muir Woods). As Leben says, I don’t see how the first amendment has anything to do with be allowed to break federal law.
